Role Description
Jo Malone London has an opportunity within the Global Communications department for a Manager position, reporting to the Global Communications Director. This role is based at the Global Townhouse in Marylebone.
The Global Communications Manager will play a pivotal role in creating the global communications strategy and organizing events across regions to build brand awareness and positioning. This role requires a strategic thinker and a proactive team player who delivers work to an exceptionally high standard.
The role will focus on increasing Earned Media Value (EMV) through global consumer campaigns for the Fragrance and Gifting categories, working strategically with markets and regions to maintain the brand’s profile as a leading British fragrance and lifestyle house. Additionally, the role will support the Communications Director on corporate issues management and activation of the Jo Malone London social impact strategy.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of the Fragrance & Gifting Communications strategy to support brand growth and reinforce positioning.
- Assist the Global Communications Director with providing strategic counsel to regional and market teams to ensure successful local execution of global strategies.
- Contribute to comprehensive GTM (Go-To-Market) decks and communication guidelines for the global communications strategy.
- Maintain a deep understanding of global campaigns, product launches, and marketing activations, sharing insights with the wider team.
- Foster strong collaborative relationships with all global departments, including marketing, creative, legal, corporate, and procurement teams, ensuring seamless communication.
- Support the global communications budget, ensuring efficient and effective resource allocation.
- Work closely with the Global Communications Director to review regional PR reports, identifying successes, areas for improvement, and campaign impact.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support the execution of high-impact global events, including press, influencer, and brand activations that elevate the brand’s profile.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and deliver seamless activations in global, regional, and local markets.
- Provide strategic support and guidance to regional teams for local events and activations, ensuring alignment with global objectives.
- Assist Global Director and local markets on corporate issues on an ad-hoc basis, working with legal and education teams to resolve challenges.
- Work with charity partners to activate social impact strategies, developing assets, supporting live events, and building strong relationships.
Qualifications
- PR/communications experience, either agency-side or in-house at a global level, or experience working closely with global teams.
- Experience in corporate affairs and issues management, ideally within a luxury brand.
- A passion for social impact initiatives and purpose-led projects.
- Strong understanding of the beauty (luxury, prestige, and mass), home, and lifestyle industry, current trends, and pop culture.
- A multifaceted communications professional with a strategic and creative mindset.
- A strong team player with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
