Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in London seeks an experienced Market Risk professional to lead regulatory capital oversight for Global Commodities. You will monitor risk exposures, drive coverage across trading desks, and enhance capital frameworks with data-driven insights.

You will partner with Risk, Finance, Front Office, and Technology teams to implement future regulatory changes such as FRTB, and to advance risk analytics and automation across VaR and capital processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required in a quantitative or business discipline.
• Strong market risk knowledge with a track record of delivering risk programmes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, plus stakeholder management.
• Proven ability to manage projects and drive initiatives to completion.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Firm's Market Risk Regulatory Capital framework for Global Commodities.
• Utilize trading analysis tools to monitor risk exposures and P&L drivers across commodities portfolios.
• Follow global commodities markets and analyze price movements impacting trading portfolios (spot/forward curves, basis, spreads, volatility).
• Develop expertise in a wide range of commodities products (derivatives and physical-linked risk) and associated risk factors.
• Govern risk management metrics and regulatory capital measures, including VaR and Stressed VaR.
• Provide regulatory capital expertise to Risk, Finance, and Front Office teams.
• Collaborate with Market Risk Coverage and Trading Desks to assess capital impacts of new products and risk-taking activities.
• Support implementation of future regulatory frameworks, such as FRTB.
• Lead data science and infrastructure initiatives to modernize VaR and capital oversight (automation, data quality, controls, explainability).
• Partner across Market Risk Management, Quantitative Research, Product Control, Technology, and Data Science teams.
