Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking an experienced EMEA Commodities Legal Counsel – Markets at Executive Director level to provide senior legal coverage to the commodities business across energy, metals, and related markets. You will advise on complex derivatives, financing, and physical trading, partnering with senior stakeholders to shape strategy and governance.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with 10+ years’ post-qualification experience in commodities or investment banking.
• Experience advising on derivatives, physical trading, and financing.
• Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration across markets, risk, compliance, and finance.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior, strategic legal support to the EMEA commodities business.
• Lead legal structuring, negotiation, and execution of complex transactions.
• Draft and oversee key trading documents and bespoke agreements.
• Monitor regulatory developments and manage legal risk.
