Join Our Team as Claims IT Leader at Marsh McLennan
We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Marsh McLennan as Claims IT Leader. This role will be based in London and is a hybrid position, requiring at least one day a week in the office.
You will have the responsibility of overseeing current global claims platform roll-outs, ensuring that all deliverables are implemented on time and within budget. This will involve closely monitoring the progress of these roll-outs and taking necessary actions to ensure their successful completion.
We will count on you to:
Define the claims roadmap, you will regularly review new claims capability requests. This includes evaluating whether existing platforms and solutions are still suitable for their intended purpose. If necessary, you will propose the addition of new technologies to enhance the claims capabilities.
You will champion the agile implementation methodology, delivering end-to-end, customer-centric Technology products using a wide range of Agile standards, solutions, and best practices, also introducing test-driven and behaviour-driven development.
Building applications with an outstanding user experience and user adoption will be the essential technology evaluation criteria for you.
You will be responsible for reorganising an existing team of 200+ internal and external resources located in NYC, Mumbai and Austin, TX to focus most of their time developing code. You will be at the forefront of the Marsh Technology brand, developing tech colleague's skill set that ensures innovative solutions in an agile way.
Using Objective and Key Results (OKRs), you will drive the end-to-end technology product design and implementation being a significant part of the current technology operating model transformation.
Being a cross-functional collaborator interfacing with MMC Enterprise Technology partners, Marsh-Operations, and –Transformation Office will come naturally to you building a new set of reusable IT Microservices connected via a well-defined API structure.
As the IT Director responsible for global claims applications, you will collaborate with all stakeholders across the company, which requires you to be an outstanding communicator in oral and written forms, conveying technical complex information and concepts in easily understood terms to business and operations partners.
What you need to have:
Experience in managing and optimising a global claims platform.
Significant and substantial Agile delivery experience with a global stakeholder management mindset.
A proven track record of successfully implementing a large number of tech deliverables simultaneously.
Direct Agile delivery experience for large platforms, ideally with low/no-code platforms.
Substantial experience as a senior manager, having managed extensive innovation or IT migration programmes/portfolios.
Proven leadership capabilities in managing large teams, including the development of next-generation IT talent.
Ability to quickly create value within a fast-paced, complex work environment.
Superb programme management skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritise numerous tasks simultaneously to complete work on time.
Superior communication skills, both oral and written.
Insurance/Finance experience preferred but not essential.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
