Job summary

Johnson & Johnson, headquartered in the United Kingdom, is recruiting a Global Chemical Compliance SME based in Leeds. You will act as the global expert for chemical compliance, guiding policy development and embedding regulatory requirements across product lifecycle.

Responsibilities include leading governance, supporting audits, and representing the company in industry associations while overseeing data strategies and regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or related discipline.
• 10+ years in product stewardship, chemistry, materials science or chemical compliance in a global regulated industry.
• Ability to translate complex regulatory information into practical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the global SME for chemical compliance (EU REACH, US TSCA, Prop 65, FIFRA, GHS, RoHS, etc.).
• Monitor legislation and translate impacts into implementation strategies.
• Develop policies, standards, governance and mitigation plans for restricted substances.
• Lead governance reviews and support audits and assessments.
• Represent DePuy Synthes in trade associations and external advocacy.
