Position: Global Category Manager (m/f/d) IT/OT Infrastructure Services, Swindon

Start Date: As soon as possible, full time, permanent

Role Overview

As the Global Category Manager for IT/OT Infrastructure Services, reporting directly to the Team Lead for IT Services, Infrastructure, and Cloud, you will be part of a global team driving innovative projects across RWE’s diverse business sectors, including Renewables and Energy Trading.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and oversee the global Category Strategy for Infrastructure and Cloud services, including Managed Workplace, Printing, Networks, Telecoms, Mobile, Data Centres, and Cloud Services.
  • Act as the subject matter expert, guiding category managers and business units with insights into market trends, emerging technologies, and supply chain risks/opportunities.
  • Lead complex, strategic RFx activities and support automation initiatives within procurement processes.
  • Engage and build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers worldwide.
  • Align procurement objectives with business targets and ensure procurement processes deliver maximum value.
Candidate Profile
  • University degree with relevant professional experience.
  • Expertise in procurement strategy and financial management principles.
  • Deep knowledge of IT/OT supply markets and relevant categories.
  • Strong negotiation skills across all levels and functions.
  • Creative, detail-oriented, and open to innovative approaches.
  • Willingness to travel to operational sites and suppliers.
  • Excellent English skills; German language skills are a plus but not required.
