Bramwith Consulting is hiring a Global Category Manager - Logistics (Inbound Freight).

UK-Based | Hybrid/Remote | Global Scope

Salary: £60k - £70K + Bonus + Car Allowance

We are partnering with a global manufacturing leader on a newly created role that puts you at the forefront of strategic transformation. As Global Category Manager - Logistics, you will oversee inbound material freight strategy and spend across international manufacturing sites including the UK, US, China, France, Italy, Brazil, and India.

This role involves strategic category leadership, stakeholder influence, and delivering commercial results within a complex, decentralized environment.

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement global freight strategies for inbound material movement
• Negotiate supplier contracts and pricing agreements across diverse lanes
• Achieve year-on-year savings and establish governance and approval frameworks
• Lead cross-site collaboration to unify fragmented processes
• Monitor and manage expedited/air freight usage and costs
• Build and maintain strong strategic supplier relationships
• Support broader indirect procurement initiatives (e.g., Travel, IT, Capex) over time

This role is a step toward creating a more centralized, strategic approach to indirect procurement across the group.

Required Skillset:

This position suits a logistics or indirect procurement professional with confidence and commercial acumen to lead complex change initiatives.

Key experience includes:

• Strong background in freight, logistics, or commodity category management
• Proven success in supplier negotiation, cost control, and cross-site strategy implementation
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, analyze data, and align stakeholders
• Experience in a global matrix organization, ideally in manufacturing or industrial sectors
• Excellent communication, influencing, and project management skills (PMP a plus)
• Proficiency in SAP, Excel, and procurement tools
