Are you a strategic procurement leader with a passion for optimising supply chains and driving innovation? At Sulzer Services, we’re seeking an exceptional Global Category Manager - Bearings & Fasteners to revolutionise supply chain performance and redefine excellence in these vital categories.

The Role:

  • Develop and execute a cutting-edge procurement strategy for bearings and fasteners globally, fully aligned with divisional and group objectives.
  • Drive supplier performance to improve On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery, reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), shorten lead times, and minimise Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
  • Build and manage a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Lead supplier assessments and global negotiations, securing long-term, value-driven partnerships based on quality, cost, and responsiveness.
  • Collaborate across a global matrix organisation, aligning procurement activities and sharing best practices.
  • Draft and oversee global framework agreements and contracts, ensuring effective contract management.

To succeed in this role, you will need

  • A degree in supply chain management, engineering, economics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • At least 5 years of global procurement or senior supply management experience, with a proven track record of delivering significant cost savings and value.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience developing high-performing teams.
  • Expertise in sourcing and procurement principles, supplier management, and modern category management tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, customs legislation, and supplier quality management.
  • Willingness to travel internationally to collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers.
