Job summary

bp is seeking an advisor in its London-based Capital Advisory & Structured Finance team. You will shape funding approaches for group transactions, manage intra-group financing and liaise with Tax, Legal and Accounting to ensure efficient, robust structures.

The role offers broad exposure across bp’s portfolio from divestments to acquisitions. You will build relationships with banks and other capital providers, oversee external financing solutions, and coach junior colleagues while contributing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in corporate finance or financial services.
• Strong financial acumen and risk awareness.
• Knowledge of energy sector finance and project financing.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a distributed team.
• Experience in advisory or corporate treasury is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise on optimal funding approaches for transactions and internal funding.
• Structure intra-group loans and equity arrangements.
• Collaborate with tax, legal and accounting to ensure efficient structures.
• Manage relationships with banks and external financiers.
• Support M&A financing and due diligence processes.
• Develop and implement treasury processes and controls.
• Coach junior CASF team members and contribute to Treasury community.
