Global Brand & Design Lead, Group – 12-month FTC

Office Location: Triton Street

This role will benefit from our Hays Balanced Working agreement, so it will be based in our Triton Street office with a minimum of 2-3 days per week in the office.

Your New Role

The Global Marketing team includes functions like Brand, Content, SEO, Web, Sales Enablement, eCRM, Social, Insights, and Reporting, with team members worldwide. The Global Brand team is responsible for delivering creative briefs for marketing campaigns and internal functions such as People and Culture, Investor Relations, and Internal Communications.

The role involves leading the creative expression of the Hays brand across campaigns, ensuring brand consistency and excellence, and managing governance processes to maintain a unified brand presence globally.

You will lead and mentor a small design team, oversee creative assets, campaigns, and brand initiatives, and manage the global brand portal to ensure accessible, on-brand content for all teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead creative and design execution for global campaigns
  • Mentor a team of designers
  • Collaborate with regional teams for brand consistency
  • Manage design requests and workflows
  • Be the primary brand expert and evolve brand tools and systems
  • Oversee brand governance and portal content
  • Work with marketers on creative briefs and campaign materials
  • Innovate with new tools and technologies
  • Design digital assets for various platforms
  • Coordinate with freelancers and suppliers
  • Interpret project needs to engage audiences effectively

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

  • 8+ years in design with a strong portfolio
  • Experience managing and mentoring designers
  • Deep understanding of brand systems and campaign development
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills
  • Video editing experience (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects)
  • Proficiency in Figma and project management tools like Asana
  • Hands-on leadership with a strategic and practical approach
