Global Benefits Coordinator
Mercer

Description:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a client-focused individual with previous administrative experience within the Employee Benefits or Financial Services sector to join a high-performing and expanding team.

While previous relevant experience would be advantageous, we are also willing to consider applications from recent graduates who can demonstrate a genuine interest in securing a role within the Employee Benefits/Financial Services sector.

This role will be based in either our Glasgow or Bristol offices and is a hybrid role requiring at least three days a week in the office.

Mercer provides insights, advice, and technology-driven solutions to help build brighter futures for our clients, colleagues, and communities. Together, we're redefining the world of work, reshaping retirement and investment outcomes, and unlocking real health and well-being.

Global Benefits Management (GBM) allows multinational organizations to manage their insured employee benefits globally more effectively. The Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB) global GBM solution delivers everything clients need for local broking renewals, global coordination, technology, governance, and consulting.

The purpose of the role is to provide operational support for the management of a GBM solution, associated insured employee benefits, and any ad hoc tasks to internal and external parties.

This position would suit someone with strong organizational and coordination skills, a good understanding of insured employee benefits, and comfort working in a client-facing role within a collaborative culture.

We will count on you to:
  • Support the implementation and ongoing management of GBM appointments and maintain client satisfaction, ensuring key activities are completed and parties are aligned.
  • Ensure adherence to GBM Rules of the Road governance documents.
  • Provide renewal directions and project timelines for brokers and clients.
  • Outline data and reporting expectations to stakeholders.
  • Maintain internal policy tracking and support benefit platform management.
  • Peer review tasks completed by the Centre of Excellence and send deliverables to clients.
  • Support sales opportunities and demonstrate our policy tracking and inventory platforms.
What you need to have:
  • Experience in Employee Benefits or Financial Services sectors, working with multinationals.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience in process improvement, best practices, or efficiency projects.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work within a global team environment.
  • Self-starter, fast learner, quality-conscious, and deadline-driven.
  • Teamwork skills with the ability to work independently.
What makes you stand out:
  • Knowledge of global or regional insured employee benefits or account management.
  • Experience managing benefit renewals with benefits platform providers.
  • Language skills are a plus, but not essential.
Why join our team:
  • Professional development opportunities and a supportive leadership team.
  • Inclusive culture fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Range of career opportunities, benefits, and rewards to support well-being.
