Automation Engineer

FICC Technology is seeking a developer to work on a strategic platform for pricing, quoting, and lifecycle automation within our division. This platform supports real-time decision-making and trade-booking for traders and sales across various business lines daily.

The ideal candidate will have experience in building large-scale distributed systems that are fast, accurate, and highly reliable, with commercial Java experience.

The successful candidate will join a team of talented developers on a high-visibility project, with opportunities to work directly with trading desks.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Building a unified platform for pricing, quoting, and lifecycle automation in FICC derivatives products.
  2. Communicating effectively with technical and business stakeholders globally.
  3. Collaborating with international teams on impactful projects.
  4. Engaging proactively with stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
  5. Contributing innovative ideas and solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of professional Java development experience.
  • Strong object-oriented analysis and design skills.
  • Familiarity with automated testing, DevOps, and Continuous Deployment.
  • Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with NoSQL data stores (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB, Elastic).
  • Experience with message-oriented middleware (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Experience debugging distributed systems.
