Job Summary & Responsibilities

The Rating Advisory team provides Investment Banking clients with advice on credit profiles, capital structure, financing optimization, and credit ratings. The team works within the European Financing Group, collaborating with Investment Banking, M&A, and Financing colleagues to structure integrated solutions.

The team uses its expertise in financial, credit, and rating analysis to offer objective transactional and advisory judgments.

We seek a professional passionate about corporate finance to join our team and provide vital credit analysis and advice.

How You Will Fulfill Your Potential

  • Perform capital structure analysis for transactions like M&A, LBOs, IPOs, restructurings.
  • Estimate potential rating impacts of transactions.
  • Contribute to business development efforts.
  • Develop and audit financial models for credit and rating assessments.
  • Participate in inaugural ratings processes.
  • Build relationships with market participants including CFOs, Treasurers, and capital markets professionals.
  • Learn rating agency methodologies and track criteria evolutions.
  • Establish contacts at rating agencies.
  • Participate in client meetings.

Basic Qualifications

  • Degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting related discipline.
  • Experience with financial modeling and analysis.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Flexible team player capable of autonomous work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in assessing creditworthiness, financing options, and credit ratings.
