Job summary

Reuters is seeking a Global Audience Editor to lead a portfolio central to digital transformation and subscription strategy, overseeing newsletters, SEO, community engagement and audience strategists.

The role requires strong editorial instincts, data-driven decision making and the ability to partner with editors, correspondents and product teams to grow Reuters’ global audience and deepen reader relationships.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading audience, digital or editorial teams in a major newsroom or media org.
• Deep knowledge of social platforms, newsletters, SEO and analytics; strong subscription understanding.

Responsibilities

• Lead and unify Reuters’ audience development strategy across social, newsletters, search, community and insights.
• Build trusted relationships with editors and newsroom leaders to embed audience considerations in coverage.
• Use audience data and performance insights to guide editorial decisions and strategy.
• Manage a global team of editors, strategists and platform specialists.
• Oversee newsletter strategy, optimization and reader engagement for major coverage and events.
• Partner with editorial, product, visuals, video, audio and commercial teams to create cohesive experiences.
• Lead SEO strategy and explore new platforms while upholding journalistic standards.
