Job summary

HSBC in London seeks a senior psychometrics professional to lead how the bank assesses people across regions. You will design validation studies, ensure fairness, and turn evidence into workforce insights that guide strategy and development.

You will partner with senior stakeholders, influence external providers, and build capability across global teams, ensuring ethical standards and responsible use of AI and other assessment technologies.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in psychometrics, occupational or organisational psychology, and assessment design.
• Hands-on experience designing and analysing validation and fairness studies.
• Strong quantitative skills; experience with R, Python or similar is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and run validation studies, adverse impact analyses and experiments to predict performance.
• Evaluate and pilot AI-enabled, game-based and skills-based assessment with rigour.
• Turn data into decisions by linking assessment data to performance and mobility outcomes.
