Birmingham City University invites applications for a Lectur­er in Applied Computing (BIFCA) to join the Department of Computing. This Flying Faculty role requires spending at least one semester in China each academic year as part of the BIFCA teaching team.

All teaching will be in English. You will contribute to computing education and engage with industry-aligned practice across software, cloud, web, game, and embedded areas while working with international partners.

Qualifications

  • Teaching in higher education or presenting to technical audiences, with materials and course planning.
  • Core technical development experience across computing domains.
  • At least one of: software development, cloud, web, game, or embedded technologies.
