Job Description

At Wise, we believe that people who are closest to risks are best placed to identify and address these. We are looking for a Product Compliance Manager to join the Wise team, working across our Product and Compliance teams to enhance our financial crime monitoring program.

This individual will collaborate closely with our AML and FIU teams to ensure our controls balance customer experience with compliance requirements to prevent and detect financial crime.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with financial crime product teams to define controls and interpret global regulation for our AML and FIU products.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to enhance customer experience, support growth, and streamline operations.
  • Using data to evaluate control effectiveness and support ongoing testing programs.
  • Supporting product teams in implementing and prioritizing control enhancements.
  • Planning and executing projects to address audit or third-party findings.
  • Conducting periodic reviews to ensure controls remain compliant with changing regulations and industry guidance.
  • Contributing to the annual financial crime risk assessment by mapping and assessing controls.

Qualifications

We seek candidates passionate about payments, fintech, and compliance risk management, with:

  • At least 6 years of experience in financial crime, focusing on AML control enhancements.
  • Experience working with product and engineering teams on financial crime controls.
  • Strong data analytics skills, familiarity with BI tools like Looker, and ability to interpret KRIs.
  • Excellent communication, project coordination, and management skills.
  • A positive attitude and good humor under pressure.
  • Creativity, a global perspective, and innovative thinking.
  • High professionalism and integrity.
  • Willingness to challenge teams to serve customers better while maintaining robust compliance.

In-person collaboration in London and occasional international travel are required.
