Job summary

Real Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Glazing Estimator for glazing, curtain walling and façade projects in the UK. You will analyse drawings, obtain supplier quotations and prepare competitive tender submissions.

You will work closely with clients, project managers and suppliers to secure new business opportunities. Proficiency in Logikal/Techdesign/Schucal and strong Excel skills are essential, along with good commercial awareness and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating glazing, façades, curtain walling and related projects.
• Ability to read architectural drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in Excel and estimating software with strong numeracy.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
• Measure and quantify glazing, curtain walling, windows and doors from drawings.
• Prepare material, labour and subcontractor cost estimates.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Produce detailed tender submissions and pricing schedules.
• Identify risks, value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
• Liaise with architects, contractors, suppliers and clients on technical and commercial queries.
• Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings when required.
• Maintain pricing databases and support contract handovers to delivery teams.
• Monitor market trends, material costs and industry developments.
