Job summary

Technical Partners on behalf of their client is seeking a Glazing Designer to join the Erith team. The role focuses on glazing, curtain walling or aluminium systems with a clear pathway for career progression and development.

You will produce detailed glazing designs, develop construction details and coordinate with project teams, clients and manufacturers to deliver accurate, technically sound designs. The position offers a 4-day-per-week in-office pattern and a salary range of £35,000 to

Qualifications

• Experience in glazing, curtain walling, aluminium or façade design.
• Experience with Aluprof and Schüco.
• Strong understanding of glazing and aluminium construction.
• Ability to interpret architectural and technical drawings.
• Experience using AutoCAD and/or relevant design software.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed glazing and curtain walling designs.
• Develop technical drawings and construction details.
• Work with aluminium and glazing systems including Aluprof and Schüco.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Coordinate designs with project and site teams.
• Liaise with clients, architects, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Ensure designs meet relevant technical and project requirements.
• Assist with design development from concept through to construction.
• Identify and resolve technical design issues.
• Maintain accurate design documentation throughout projects.

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Glazing Designer to join their design team based in Erith. This is an excellent opportunity for a designer with experience across glazing, curtain walling or aluminium systems to join a growing business with a clear pathway for career progression and development.

You will be involved in the design and development of glazing packages across a range of projects, working closely with project teams, clients, architects and manufacturers to deliver accurate and technically sound designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed glazing and curtain walling designs
• Develop technical drawings and construction details
• Work with aluminium and glazing systems including Aluprof and Schüco
• Review architectural drawings, specifications and project requirements
• Coordinate designs with project and site teams
• Liaise with clients, architects, suppliers and subcontractors
• Ensure designs meet relevant technical and project requirements
• Assist with design development from concept through to construction
• Identify and resolve technical design issues
• Maintain accurate design documentation throughout projects

Requirements

• Previous experience in glazing, curtain walling, aluminium or façade design
• Experience working with systems such as Aluprof and/or Schüco
• Strong understanding of glazing and aluminium construction
• Ability to interpret architectural and technical drawings
• Experience using AutoCAD and/or relevant design software
• Strong attention to detail and technical ability
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple projects
• A willingness to develop and progress within the business
