Job summary

Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Specialty Doctor for Glaucoma and anterior segment service in East Grinstead. The role involves extensive clinical and surgical ophthalmology within a high standards NHS setting.

The post requires GMC registration, prior Cornea Fellowship and NHS experience, with opportunities to lead complex cataract work and contribute to teaching and research. Competitive salary and on-call support are provided.

Qualifications

• GMC Registration required to practice in the UK.
• Prior Cornea Fellowship completed.
• Previous NHS experience.
• Experience in cataract surgery.

Responsibilities

• Provide extensive clinical and surgical experience in diagnosing and managing Glaucoma and anterior segment disease.
• Participate in diagnosis, management and follow-up of Glaucoma patients including complex cases.
• Provide General Ophthalmology services and undertake surgery under supervision or independently.
• Develop clinical skills and progress to more complex caseloads.
• Contribute to wider Trust activities such as research, audit, outcomes, management and teaching.
