Job description

NES Fircroft is currently recruiting a Glasshouse Technician on behalf of our client, a Global name in the Agricultural Technology industry. The role will be based at a world leading International Research Centre at Jealott's Hill, Bracknell. This is a contract position for an initial 6 month duration with the possibility of long-term extension. Mon-Fri 36hrs per week.

Responsibilities
  • Follows broad frameworks to operate equipment needed to carry out trial work, and to ensure samples are available and delivered on time.
  • Resolves routine issues with minimal senior staff or supervisory guidance and approval.
  • Requires some prior relevant experience.
Qualifications
  • Experience working within a horticultural or an agricultural production environment.
  • Awareness of growth and care requirements of plant material in the glasshouse.
  • Solid experience in computer usage (particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel applications).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently to ensure timely throughout of materials.
  • Demonstrating close attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks, with a strong commitment to maintaining high standards and quality of work.
  • Communicating effectively with the ability to keep goals, targets and objectives.
  • Demonstrating strong willingness to learn within a dynamic glasshouse production environment that prioritizes high-quality output.
  • Thriving in a team-oriented workplace with the capability of working independently adhering to established procedures.
