Job summary

A global name in the Agricultural Technology industry is looking for a Glasshouse Technician to operate equipment and ensure timely delivery of samples at an International Research Centre in Bracknell. Candidates should have experience in horticultural settings and possess strong communication skills. This contract offers 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with potential extension beyond 6 months.

Overview

NES Fircroft is currently recruiting a Glasshouse Technician on behalf of our client, a global name in the Agricultural Technology industry. The role will be based at a world leading International Research Centre at Jealott’s Hill, Bracknell. This is a contract position for an initial 6 month duration with the possibility of long-term extension. Mon-Fri 36hrs per week.

The Role

Follows broad frameworks to operate equipment needed to carry out trial work, and to ensure samples are available and delivered on time. Resolves routine issues with minimal senior staff or supervisory guidance and approval. Requires some prior relevant experience.

Education / Required Experience

• Experience working within a horticultural or an agricultural production environment.
• Awareness of growth and care requirements of plant material in the glasshouse.
• Solid experience in computer usage (particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel applications).
• Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently to ensure timely throughout of materials.
• Demonstrating close attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks, with a strong commitment to maintaining high standards and quality of work.
• Communicating effectively with the ability to keep goals, targets and objectives.
• Demonstrating strong willingness to learn within a dynamic glasshouse production environment that prioritizes high-quality output.
• Thriving in a team-oriented workplace with the capability of working independently adhering to established procedures.
