Job summary

MorePeople is seeking a Glasshouse Engineer in the Hull area to keep the site's engineering systems running. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, fault-find across mechanical, electrical, and control systems, and ensure the glasshouse environment remains stable for crops.

The role is permanent and full-time with a £40,000 salary, offering a hands-on position within a modern, high-tech growing operation and an established employer.

Qualifications

• Essential: recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC or equivalent).
• Proven experience as a maintenance or multi-skilled engineer with fault-finding skills.
• Right to work in the UK and a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns across the site.
• Maintain and fault-find on glasshouse systems, including heating, boilers, ventilation, screens, irrigation and fertigation.
• Support climate control and automation systems to keep conditions on target.
