Job description

The Green Action Trust is Scotland's leading environmental regeneration charity and a trusted delivery partner for the Scottish Government and a wide range of public, private, and non-profit stakeholders.

We are supporting a partnership between Glasgow City Council, East Renfrewshire Council, and the Scottish Environment Protection Agency to develop and deliver the Glasgow Lost Rivers project. This project aims to recognize, develop, and restore the urban river valleys in the Whitecart catchment on Glasgow’s south side. These rivers, mistreated by history and often neglected, have the potential to breathe new life into communities.

We’re recruiting a Project Coordinator to drive and develop this project as it transitions from feasibility to concept design and prepares for technical design and delivery. As the Glasgow Lost Rivers Project Coordinator, you will work collaboratively with our partners and as part of the Green Action Trust’s Water Environment Fund (WEF) programme team, sharing experiences with other Project Managers and Development Officers involved in live WEF projects, supported by senior staff across Operations, Landscape, and Programmes.

You should be skilled in effective stakeholder engagement, reporting on project progress, identifying opportunities and potential delivery methods, and developing an engaging, inclusive place-based narrative that delivers multiple benefits beyond river restoration.

Travel to sites is essential for this role, and a clean driving license and access to a vehicle are required.

We support a strong work-life balance through flexible and hybrid working, training, staff activities, and a comprehensive employee support package.

This is a fixed-term, full-time position based at our office in Stepps. For more information on the role and criteria, please download our Glasgow Lost Rivers Project Coordinator Recruitment Pack from our website.
