Job summary

Mainstay Trust Ltd. in Glasgow is seeking a Finance Manager to take the helm of finance operations in a charity setting.

The role involves hands-on management of payroll, budgeting, year-end processes and financial controls, reporting to the CEO and liaising with the Board. You will lead a small finance team, oversee invoicing and cashflow, and manage accounts for a supported community with a focus on sound governance and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant or QBE with strong payroll experience.
• Proven budgeting, management accounting and year-end skills.
• Experience leading a small finance team and reporting to CEO.
• Experience with Sage 50 accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly payroll and management accounts with clear commentary.
• Lead annual budget and updated forecasts.
• Oversee invoicing, credit control and purchase ledger.
• Manage personal finances for service users with controls.
• Run finance for Moving Horizons Trust.
• Prepare year-end accounts and liaise with auditors.
• Line-manage a finance assistant and collaborate with admin.
• Improve financial controls and processes.
