Care Team Leader, Gloucester, GL10

A fantastic opportunity available for a professional and dedicated Care Team Leader to lead a growing care team supporting a fabulous little girl with complex care and medical needs. GBP40,000.00 + Gross per Annum

Details
  • Nearest Tube/Station: Stonehouse Train Station
  • Wage/Salary: GBP21.50 Weekdays, GBP23.50 Weekends, GBP40,000.00 + Gross per Annum
  • Driver Essential? Yes, WAV (automatic drive) for use on duty
  • Essential Experience: Managerial/lead role experience, supporting a young person with additional needs. Open to female applicants only.
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Days & Hours: 36 hours/week, including admin/lead duties. Shifts: Term-time (Mon-Fri 4-8pm), Weekends and School Holidays (8am-8pm), Waking Nights (8pm-8am). Shifts can be flexible.

About Elsa

Elsa is a 6-year-old girl with cerebral palsy, full-time wheelchair user, requiring manual handling support, with a PEG, dystonic episodes, and controlled epilepsy. She enjoys sounds, facial expressions, and body language to communicate, and is a fan of Mr Tumble. Elsa attends school full-time and has a full MDT and Case Manager supporting her care. She is playful, cheeky, and loves to be silly, making this a rewarding role for someone who loves working with children.

Role Overview

This dynamic role involves working 1:1 with Elsa, building a care team, and setting standards. Responsibilities include rota planning, supervision, team meetings, updating care plans, medication management, stock ordering, and activity planning. The role offers flexibility in shifts, including days and nights, with support from a Case Manager.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates are organized, proactive, positive, and passionate about helping children reach their potential. Excellent communication skills, kindness, confidence, and a love for play, singing, dancing, and being silly are essential. Elsa has specified that this role is open to females only, as per the legal requirements.
