QinetiQ Limited in Shoeburyness is seeking a GL – Ops Environmental Test to lead the Environmental Testing Centre (ETC) operations, ensuring safe and compliant trial delivery and driving continuous improvement across facility performance.

As a GL – Ops Environmental Test, you will be responsible for ensuring tat the leadership of, and the availability of ETC facilities meet the demands of primarily the Weapons Services Integrated Delivery Teams and the wider UK Defence Business needs.
Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for ensuring a Safe System of Work is in place and enacted for all activities and empower to make the necessary changes or stop work whenever they believe there to be a risk to people, facilities or the environment.

This role is 37 hours per week based at our Shoeburyness site and is fully on-site.
QinetiQ Shoeburyness is a significant test and evaluation facility specialising in defence and security technologies. The site is focused on Environmental Testing including the evaluation of various ordnance, explosives and related systems. Implementing measures to ensure that testing activities comply with environmental regulations and minimise ecological impact.
