Summary: We are looking for a Github Migration Engineer to join our team. This game changer will help with migration of build pipelines from Jenkins to Cloudbees Help with migration of source code repositories from Bitbucket, Subversion, CVS, or Gitlab to Github Enterprise Skills: Jenkins, Cloudbees, Java/Python, AWS, K8S, GitHub, Stash/BitBucket

• Investigate issues and develop fixes.
• Work within the engineering team to understand our system and help build for scale.
• Build tooling to help monitor our production systems to look for issues before they become serious.
• Working within the engineering team to build out test infrastructure.
• Develop new features as we add to our industry-leading solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement migration strategies to transition projects and repositories to GitHub.
• Collaborate with teams to gather requirements and develop migration plans.
• Perform hands-on repository migrations, including codebase, issues, documentation, and CI/CD pipeline configurations.
• Ensure seamless integration of GitHub with existing tools and workflows.
• Improve GitHub workflows and CI/CD pipelines for performance, security, and scalability.
• Provide technical guidance during the migration process.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to repository migration and integration.
• Document processes, configurations, and best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest features and developments in GitHub and associated DevOps tools.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience as a DevOps Engineer, Source Code Manager, or similar role with hands-on GitHub implementation.
• Technologies needed: EKS Harness, Kubernetes, Jenkins/Cloudbees, (Shared libraries, CASC bundles, Jenkins files, Pipelines) Git (Stash/BitBucket, GitHub) Subversion, CVS Terraform, AWS, Puppet, Rspec, Black Duck, SonarQube, Artifactory
• Proficiency with GitHub and Git version control.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Bash).
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
