The Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced GIS Specialist to join our Newcastle team, playing a key role in offshore energy projects worldwide. You will lead and support GIS tasks across various project scopes, including ground characterisation, cable routing, ground modelling, foundation design, and Online GIS solutions.
You will collaborate with engineering and geoscience teams—geotechnical engineers, engineering geologists, and geophysicists—to deliver high-quality geospatial outputs and support innovative consultancy services. The role involves working on frontier areas such as floating wind, anchoring, and large deformation analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide GIS support for geotechnical and geophysical offshore energy projects
- Deliver spatial analysis, maps, and geospatial deliverables
- Develop and manage online GIS platforms for stakeholder collaboration
- Support ground investigation campaigns, ground modelling, cable routing, and foundation design
- Manage and ensure quality of spatial data, maintaining data standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on standalone and integrated projects
- Contribute to R&D, technical innovation, and thought leadership, including conferences and papers
You will have
- A degree in GIS, Geomatics, Geoscience, Civil Engineering, or related field
