Job summary

United Utilities is seeking a GIS Network Specialist on a permanent secondment to help maintain and enhance our water network data. You’ll translate operational changes into accurate GIS updates and ensure boundary integrity across connected systems.

Working with stakeholders across the business, you’ll analyse complex data, drive data quality improvements, and support GIS system changes and disaster recovery activities. The role offers opportunities to influence critical decision making.

Qualifications

  • Advanced GIS skills with experience managing complex water network data.
  • Ability to translate network changes into GIS updates and maintain data quality.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop water boundaries, districts, and asset data within GIS.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to deliver consistent data across GIS, SAP, models, and connected systems.
  • Analyse data to identify risks and protect data quality.
  • Build relationships to promote best practices and continuous improvement in GIS data.
