Love creating data and using GIS?

You will provide specialist technical support to professional officers in the Planning Service. Your work will include the production of documents, plans/maps and other illustrative material; the collection, processing, mapping, analysing and management of data utilising appropriate software packages, including GIS mapping; and preparing presentation material for meetings and web publication to support the work of the service.

An opportunity has arisen within the Planning Service which covers New Forest District outside of the New Forest National Park.

We are looking for someone with proven digital design skills and flair, with an aptitude for handling data and information with precision and understanding.

Knowledge of the work of a local planning authority and the planning system would be an advantage, and you will need to have good communication and customer care skills.
