We’re looking for an experienced Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Data Officer to join our GIS Data and Consultancy team. The successful candidate will be part of a small team of GIS Data Officers.
You'll be tasked with helping properties maximise their potential for contributing to the National Trust’s ambition to create bigger, better, and more connected landscapes for nature, people, and climate.

Our GIS Data and Consultancy Team leads in creating value from data; ensuring our enterprise spatial data is trusted, well-governed, and maximized to support our strategy. Although geographically dispersed, the team collaborates closely and shares responsibilities.

Your contractual location will be our York Hub, with an expectation to attend the office. Flexibility is available regarding your home base, with an anticipated 40-60% of work time spent at a National Trust location. Details will be discussed at interview. The role may also require travel to properties or regional hubs.
As part of an experienced team of GIS professionals, you will manage key ecological datasets, including habitat survey and intervention data used in our critical business systems to underpin strategic decision-making.
You will work to meet client requirements aligned with our strategic priorities, involving technical GIS data editing, geospatial problem-solving, and producing cartographic outputs.
