A utility company in the UK is looking for a GIS Application Specialist to manage and enhance GIS application infrastructure while providing support for GIS applications. The role requires proficiency in the ESRI product stack and a background in translating business requirements into technical solutions. The GIS Application Specialist works as part of the GIS Platform Team, supporting the 2,000 GIS users within the company. This team are responsible for providing application support, maintaining existing GIS infrastructure/applications, and engaging with the business to exploit the use of new GIS capability.
Whilst there are defined outcomes associated with the support and maintenance of applications, you will have flexibility on how these can be achieved, also using your experience of different methodologies/technologies to further develop GIS solutions for our stakeholders.
