Job summary

NHS England is seeking a Training Programme Director for General Internal Medicine for North West London. The role partners with the Postgraduate Dean to lead the delivery of specialty functions and ensure adherence to national standards and Royal College guidelines.

The post holder will work with the Head of School and other GIM TPDs, manage regional training programmes, and handle recruitment, progression, and related work streams.

Qualifications

• Experience as an NHS consultant with General Internal Medicine training.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multi‑professional team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Specialty’s Regional Training Programme.
• Address trainee/trainer concerns and recruitment to training posts.
• Postgraduate programme management including assessments, progression, rotations, support and remediation, OOP management, trainee management careers support, less than full-time training, inter-deanery transfer, academic training and related work streams.
