Job description

Role Responsibilities
  • Perform treatments in Spa Space, Jetty Spa, Guests Spa Lodges and Suites.
  • Maintain good knowledge of all spa treatments and products used in the spa, including ESPA and Pure Lakes.
  • Provide all spa treatments to the highest standards, adhering to treatment protocols. (In-house and ESPA training provided.)
  • Conduct full consultations with guests, understanding contraindications.
  • Host spa trails and oversee guest use of spa facilities.
  • Upsell treatments and retail products to enhance guest experience and generate revenue.
  • Recognize and celebrate guests' special occasions.
  • Manage spa reservations, respond to emails promptly, and send confirmation emails.
  • Assist the Spa Manager with daily operations and report to the Spa Manager or deputy in their absence.
  • Maintain excellent time management and knowledge of hotel practices.
  • Report low stock levels of products and consumables impacting treatments.
  • Keep spa areas clean and well-presented, ensure products are topped up, and laundry is managed properly.
  • Report guest issues promptly to the Spa Manager and on Gilpin Academy.
  • Process charges through EPOS system and PDQ, and achieve retail targets.
  • Unpack and store stock upon arrival.
  • Complete daily handovers and end-of-day banking.
  • Report health and safety risks and adhere to safety standards.
  • Assist other departments when required and maintain a tidy, safe working environment.
  • Maintain professional appearance and personal hygiene at all times.
Candidate Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar establishment preferred.
  • Relevant treatment qualifications.
  • Face-to-face guest interaction experience essential.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
  • Exceptional customer service and listening skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills and motivation.
  • Willingness to undertake additional duties as needed.
  • Good health and fitness levels required.
  • Ability to act as First Aid Aider or Fire Warden if necessary.

Salary: £12.25 to £13.25 per hour (approx. £25,480 to £27,560 pro-rata)

Gratuities are allocated based on development tiers, with average projected earnings from £240 to £550 per month, pro-rata.

Plus commission on retail sales.

Hours: 40 hours per week, with part-time options available.
