A leading UK general insurance company seeks a Pricing Manager to join their Loss Cost Modelling team. The role involves leading the development of pricing models, ensuring they meet standards and market competitiveness. We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to join our Loss Cost Modelling team within the Pricing Department.
This role involves leading the development, implementation, and testing of General Insurance pricing models for a defined product range. You will ensure these models meet business requirements and align with standards and strategies, with a focus on maintaining market competitiveness and pricing accuracy.
You will plan and define price models for specific market sectors, develop control cycles for testing and refreshing models, and collaborate closely with Underwriting to apply market insights to rates and rating logic.
The role also includes identifying and testing data to improve model performance and working with teams to deliver pricing objectives. If you have direct reports, you will lead and support them to achieve their potential.
We seek a professional with a strong background in general insurance pricing, experience in building and refining models, and proficiency in Emblem. You should have expert knowledge of your market sector, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
Proactivity, independent working, and team collaboration are key. Leadership or mentoring experience is advantageous but not essential.
