Job summary

Pulse Healthcare is seeking a Locum Consultant Histopathologist (GI) in Birmingham on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract. The role requires GMC registration or eligibility to join within 6 months, with CESR support offered to help pathologists work towards GMC specialist registration.

The successful candidate will report on diagnoses, staging and prognosis, provide histopathology services across clinical teams, and contribute to policies and guidelines.

Qualifications

• GMC registration or be eligible to join within 6 months.
• GMC specialist registration or be eligible to join within 6 months.
• FRCPath or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnosis, staging and prognosis of patients; reporting and interpretation of histopathology in line with RCPath guidelines.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to deliver comprehensive Histopathology services and contribute to policies and guidelines.
• Answer phone calls to clinical colleagues when required.
