Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is recruiting locum Consultant Histopathologists for UK-wide opportunities across the NHS. The role includes generalist histopathology (breast, GI & gynae) with flexible full- or part-time arrangements.

You will work within a supportive team, benefit from dedicated recruitment support, fast onboarding and wellbeing resources, and NHS-aligned practice standards. GMC registration and pathology fellowship are required.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• FRCPath or equivalent qualification.
• UK Right to Work.
• DBS check (or PVG) or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong communication and teamworking skills.
• Desirable: CCT in Histopathology (or within 6 months of achieving it).

Responsibilities

• Performing diagnostic histopathology and cytopathology.
• Managing laboratory services and ensuring quality control.
• Supporting junior doctors and laboratory staff.
• Contributing to service development and audits.
