Job summary

The role of the Site Lead Clinical Auditor provides clinical audit leadership within the gesh group. Providing oversight of clinical audit programmes, including managing resolutions to issues around participation, tracking and ensuring SMART action plans are embedded across gesh. The role also provides support of corporate level clinical audit projects.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder is responsible for triangulating multiple sources of information across their brief to create a coherent picture of clinical audit and effectiveness across gesh.

Working with group colleagues to review the output of compliance of all relevant areas, benchmarking within the group to avoid unwanted variations, and to embed best practice and maintaining an overall site picture.

The role also promotes and supports local clinical audit projects and delivers clinical audit project expertise to the designated site within the gesh Group. In addition, the position will support all clinical effectiveness and audit work as required, and contribute to the strategic development of clinical audit activity across gesh.

To mentor and support other members of the clinical audit and effectiveness team with the aim to improve the collaborative approach across the group.

The post-holder is required to work independently within established Group guidelines.

Whilst the post holder will have an administrative base at one location within gesh, they will be required to regularly work at other sites.

Training Programme: Provide a regular planned and ad-hoc audit trainingfor gesh staff, including design of training tools and course structure.
