Job summary

Language Business in the UK is seeking a German-speaking Marketplace Manager for Germany, ideally based in London with a hybrid option. You will recruit German merchants, brands, aggregators and strategic partners onto European marketplace platforms to drive growth.

You will own the end-to-end sales cycle, prospecting through to contract negotiation and onboarding, building a high-quality pipeline and forming strategic partnerships across Europe.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in Marketplace Business Development, Sales or Account Management.
• Experience working with German brands, retailers or businesses.
• Experience managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract closure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategy to recruit German merchants and brands onto European marketplace platforms.
• Identify high-quality prospects and build a strong German merchant pipeline.
• Generate new business through inbound and outbound lead-generation activities.
• Conduct cold outreach, qualification calls, presentations and negotiations.
• Own the end-to-end sales funnel from prospecting to onboarding and contract signing.
• Develop compelling commercial propositions for German merchants and maintain accurate pipeline tracking.
