Job description

GSL Education are looking to hire qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of German, with the ability to also teach French to work at a thriving Secondary School in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire starting in September 2025.

As a Teacher of German, your responsibilities will include:

• Deliver engaging and effective German (and French) lessons to secondary students.
• Focus on developing students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in German (and French).
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves in the target language.

Teacher of German Requirements:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in German or a relevant subject.
• Ability to teach German to at least GCSE level and teach French to at least KS3.
• Experience working with children who have additional needs.
• Build and maintain appropriate relationships with staff, students, and outside agencies.
• Have a Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
