PC Contract Geotechnical Site Manager – Ground Investigation Works - civils
Location: West Manchester
Contract
Duration: 1 Month

Reporting
To: Project Manager
Overview:
We
are seeking an experienced Contract Site Manager to oversee and coordinate ground investigation activities on an infrastructure project. The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing ground investigation works and working with specialist subcontractors.
This
is a one-month contract role, responsible for managing the scope of works delivered by the ground investigation subcontractor, including drilling, water level monitoring, soil condition assessments, and utility identification.
Key
Responsibilities:
* Act as the PC on-site lead for all ground investigation activities.
* Coordinate and supervise the ground investigation subcontractor.
* Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
* Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Monitor progress against programme and report any issues or delays.
* Liaise with the client, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery.
* Maintain accurate site records and daily reports.
* Ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
Requirements:
* Extensive experience in managing ground investigation works.
* Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
* Strong understanding of geotechnical processes including drilling, sampling, and utility detection.
* Experience reviewing and managing RAMS.
* Excellent communication and coordination skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple site activities
