Job summary

SYSTRA UK & Ireland is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead geotechnical projects, directing teams of engineers and technicians to deliver ground models, reports and designs in line with UK standards.

The role requires Chartered status, extensive geotechnical design and site experience, and involvement in BIM, GIS and CGM work streams. Hybrid working is supported with a strong emphasis on technical excellence and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Degree in geotechnical/civil/engineering geology or related field.
• Chartered engineer (ICE) or Chartered/geologist (CGeol).
• Significant geotechnical engineering design and site experience at principal engineer level.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams of geotechnical engineers, geologists, civil engineers and technicians.
• Act as CRE, Project Engineer and Lead Engineer on high-risk projects.
• Support work winning, bids, and financial controls on projects.
• Develop and implement CGM and BIM-related deliverables.
• Oversee ground investigations and geotechnical design reports.
