Job summary

Arthian Ltd. in Central Scotland is seeking an enthusiastic geotechnical professional to join our multidisciplinary team of planners, designers, environmental consultants and engineers.

You will assist with site investigations, support geotechnical assessments, and prepare drawings and calculations. This role offers clear pathways to professional qualification, with a commitment to your personal development, and travel across the UK when required.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Willing to work towards ICE membership or similar professional recognition.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with clear report writing.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

About You

• Drive and ambition to succeed and support the business do the same
• Good analytical skills for calculations and problem solving
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) including production of clear and precise technical reports and effective presentation of findings/recommendations
• Can work to tight timescales and work on multiple projects at once
• Competent with Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

• A degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or a closely related discipline
• Willing to work towards, membership of ICE, or other recognised industry organisation.

Additional Information

• The role may require travel (including occasional overnight stays) across the UK and overseas, depending on project requirements
• A full clean driving licence is desirable
