Job description

BMC Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for an Estimator to join a client who are specialists in ground engineering solutions based in the UK and Ireland.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Manage incoming enquiries, assess, and prioritise business-appropriate tender opportunities
- Develop bid/win strategies tailored to client requirements
- Collaborate with technical and operations teams to prepare cost studies for internal review
- Liaise with technical, operations, and commercial teams to identify risks and agree on mitigation strategies
- Write and present tender offers to clients
- Engage in client interactions and tender negotiations from enquiry receipt to contract award
- Maintain and update the Salesforce CRM database
- Assist the Projects Division Business Development Manager in identifying future clients and major project opportunities

About you
- Relevant civil engineering degree or geotechnical engineering bias, with professional qualification status preferred
- Integrity and professionalism in all duties
- Commitment to health, safety, well-being, and environmental sustainability
- Significant experience in the UK geotechnical industry
- Understanding of the geotechnical design process and estimating geotechnical engineering solutions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Effective time management and attention to detail
- Proficient in IT skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Salesforce; knowledge of Primavera P6 and Candy is advantageous
- Full UK driving licence
