Job summary

Penguin Recruitment are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join a busy environmental engineering consultancy near Oxford. You will oversee site investigations, report writing, desktop studies, groundwater and gas monitoring, soil/rock logging and client liaison.

A relevant degree (geology, earth sciences, environmental engineering or geoscience) and a Full UK Driving Licence are required, with travel to sites. This permanent role offers £30,000–£37,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in geology, earth sciences, environmental engineering or geoscience.
• Experience in geotechnical industry as engineer or consultant.
• Full UK Driving Licence; travel to sites required.
• Right to work in the UK and commutable to Oxford.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site investigations and logging of soil and rock.
• Complete factual and interpretive report writing and desktop studies.
• Monitor groundwater and gas; communicate with clients.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to project delivery.
