Job summary

Penguin Recruitment in Nottingham seeks a Geotechnical Engineer to join our ground investigation team. The role blends site and office work on diverse projects, with supervision of drilling rigs and reporting duties.

You will undertake desktop studies and Phase 2 investigations, logging soils/rocks and monitoring groundwater/gas, with emphasis on accuracy and learning new techniques. Excellent training and progression await.

Qualifications

• Degree in geotechnical engineering, applied/engineering geology or civil engineering with a ground investigation focus.
• Hold a valid UK driving licence and be willing to travel for work.
• Have full right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Supervise drilling rigs and write factual and interpretive reports.
• Carry out Phase 1 Desktop studies and Phase 2 investigations.
• Log soils and rocks; monitor groundwater and gas; ensure accuracy and safety.
