We have an opportunity for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer or Senior Geotechnical Engineer based in one of our offices in Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Newcastle, Edinburgh, or Glasgow to support our portfolio of geotechnical projects in the UK and internationally.

We are expanding our team to meet growing client demands in infrastructure sectors like rail, highways, water, and in the energy sector including carbon capture & storage, renewable energy, offshore and onshore oil & gas, and nuclear power.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record as a geotechnical or senior geotechnical engineer, including project management and mentoring junior engineers, with experience in Design and Build environments.
  • Degree in civil engineering or geology, postgraduate qualification in geotechnics, and chartered status in civil engineering or geology.

Candidates should have:

  • Strong academic background, ideally MSc or higher.
  • Chartered status.
  • Experience in a fast-paced engineering consultancy.
  • Project management skills, client relations, work planning, and commercial awareness.
  • Proven geotechnical design skills and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience with software like GeoStudio, Repute, Wallap.
  • Knowledge of CDM Regulations in design and ground investigation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas; valid UK driving license required.
