Job summary

EDF Energy is recruiting a Geotechnical Engineer to support the Sizewell C programme. The role is hybrid, based at Aztec West in Bristol with a minimum of three days in the office and occasional travel to Sizewell C to backfill and support infrastructure works.

You will work within the civil discipline, delivering geotechnical solutions for safe construction. Opportunities include excavation, foundation and backfill activities, with collaboration across engineering teams on critical low-carbon

Qualifications

• Experience in civil or geotechnical engineering on infrastructure/construction projects.
• Experience supporting excavation, earthworks, foundation or backfilling activities.
• Knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and their application in construction.
• Ability to review technical information and contribute to engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support geotechnical engineering activities across the Sizewell C programme.
• Assist with excavation, foundation and backfilling works.
• Review technical documentation, specifications and engineering deliverables.
• Contribute to the Main Excavation Backfill scope and related construction activities.
• Support technical discussions and multidisciplinary engineering reviews.
• Identify and manage geotechnical risks throughout project delivery.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to support safe and effective construction outcomes.
