Job summary

AF Howland Associates in Romford seeks a Geotechnical Engineer to join our UK-based consultancy. You will deliver ground investigations, interpret geotechnical and geo-environmental data and prepare technical reports for infrastructure and development projects.

The role offers a path to advance technical expertise within a supportive team, with close client liaison, project delivery responsibilities, and opportunities for professional development within a growing practice.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or Geo-environmental Engineering.
• Minimum three years' experience in geotechnical or geo-environmental role.
• Experience with UK site investigation techniques and practice.
• Understanding of BS5930 and Eurocode 7.
• Experience producing technical reports and assessments.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Undertake and supervise ground investigation projects
• Analyse and interpret geotechnical and geo-environmental data
• Prepare factual and interpretative reports
• Support geotechnical design and assessment work
• Liaise with clients, contractors and project stakeholders
• Assist with project management and technical delivery
• Contribute to the development of new and existing client relationships
